Karval Community Alliance Inc.

The Karval Community Alliance is hosting the 4th annual “Mountain Plover Festival”. It has been scheduled for April 30, May 1 and 2. We would like to extend a personal invitation to you to come and enjoy the festival events with us and our guests.

Events for the weekend include: Bird Watching and Wildlife Viewing Tours, Entertainment, Antiques, Arts and Craft Show, Flea Market, History, Photography Contest, LOTS OF GOOD FOOD, and most importantly a good time to visit with friends, neighbors and guests!

Enclosed you will find a schedule of the events and a list of special rates and discounts for residents of Lincoln County and the members of the Karval Community Alliance.

2010 FESTIVAL EVENTS AND SPECIAL RATES FOR LINCOLN COUNTY RESIDENTS AND KARVAL COMMUNITY ALLIANCE MEMBERS

• Times are tentative—depending on weather, enthusiasm and interests of participants.
• The Antique, Craft & Art Show & Flea Market will be open throughout the weekend.
• The Craft Show at the Karval Fire House will be open on Sat. May 1^st from 9:00am-6:00pm.
• We ask that you call ahead and let us know you are coming for the tours so we can make sure we have enough transportation. (719-446-5354).  Thank You.

PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

The Photo contest is open to ANYONE. There are to divisions: OPEN CLASS and 12 YEARS AND UNDER.

Cash prizes for 1st places will be awarded in all categories and in both divisions.

One overall cash prize will also be awarded.

We ask that you try to attend Saturday evening to claim your prizes.

Photos are to be mounted on lightweight cardboard or construction paper. Put your name on the back, Only 1 entry in each category and a photo can only be entered once. The PHOTO MUST BE TAKEN IN THE KARVAL AREA. Enter photos on Friday afternoon April 30 or Saturday May 1 up until 11:00am. Judging will be done after lunch on Saturday. Photo will be displayed after judging.

Each exhibitor agrees to let the Karval Community Alliance use any pictures you enter for promoting the contest or for any advertising in the future.
